(aka Hydrofacial or Hydrodermabrasion)
At Lawnton Laser Clinic, Hydrafacial or Hydrofacial is a 45 minute treatment that applies gentle exfoliation using a vortex technology with water to cleanse, exfoliate and boost hydration into the skin. It’s an 8-step process that includes:
deep tissue massage
exfoliation using vortex dermabrasion with mild glycolic acid,
ice globe massage,
recovery mask and
vitamin C treatment
This procedure delivers the benefits of glowing, healthy, clearer skin. A much-needed treatment for the everyday person who doesn’t specifically have time for skin routines and can still can effortless.
Do Hydrafacials hurt?
Hydrofacial doesn’t hurt. It uses a treatment specific spiral suction handpiece that uses vortex techniques to deeply exfoliate the skin. Much like a suction pipe being run across your face. The system has various handpieces to exfoliate, spray toners, perform ultrasound massage, cool massage, scrubbing plate, etc to perform a complete skin care treatment leaving your skin feeling dewy and refreshed.
How do Hydrafacials differ from a chemical peel or microdermabrasion?
Chemical peels are most effective on lighter skin tones and can cause severe complications for darker skin types. Microdermabrasion uses manual extractions and a diamond tip to exfoliate the skin which can be mechanically abrasive. Hydrafacial uses vortex technology where water/glycolic acid is the suctioning ingredient causing less damage and downtime post treatment.
Is the treatment customisable?
Absolutely. Your skincare professional will discuss your areas of concern and recommend a personalised treatment plan for you. This can include combined treatments with either an IPL or laser peel.
How many treatments are needed to see results?
Visible results are seen just from one treatment and can last for a week or two. One treatment a month is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, oily and clogged pores.
